Indian Vintage Horn Cover
This horn cover was made by Indian for the 2002-2004 Indian
Vintage Chief (like the bike pictured with me below). It may fit other years and
models. Please check your bike before purchasing this item.
The horn is made of solid metal and finished in beautiful chrome. It is about 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide.
This is a very heavy duty part, not made out of cheap plastic. Mounting hardware is
NOT included.
The picture above comes from the 2003 Indian Chief Parts Manual, page 7-10 (44 in the PDF file).
The horn mounts directly to the frame, as shown in the picture. The frame in the picture is
a 2003 Vintage frame, or a 2004 Chief frame (Indian used the same frame on all Chiefs for 2004).
The picture below (page 7-6, 40 in the PDF) shows the 2002-2003 Indian Chief horn cover as it
mounts to the frame. Notice the difference in the down tube from the Vintage frame. If you plan
to mount this horn cover to a non-Vintage frame, you will need to make a small bracket to attach
the horn cover to the frame post. I have done this myself, by bending a piece of sheet metal,
drilling two holes in the top, one on the bottom and attaching to the frame. Materials can be
purchased at any hardware store.
This product lists for $299, and is nearly impossible to find. This is a new,
never mounted horn cover. The picture below shows page 19 of the 2003 Indian accessories
brochure. Mounting hardware is not included.
Shipping and handling to anywhere in the United States is $14.99.
